If you know anything about Life Fitness Academy you know we preach holistic personal training and holistic nutrition. But has that ever been real clear to you? Do you fully understand the depth to the word holistic? I have to admit, at first it was hard to explain?who says ?holistic? outside of mental health institutions and hippie hang outs? The very term holistic tends to turn the consumer off because of fear?fear of the unknown.
After giving this much thought, I arrived at this conclusion: define the term holistic on every level that its meant. What does it mean for Life Fitness Academy as a holistic gym, what is holistic fitness training, how do you strive to be holistic in nutrition, and what role does ?holistic? play in my mental health. These answers will be broken up into a 4-part series.
What does it mean to have a holistic business model?
Good question. Let me explain. Life Fitness Academy wants to be holistic as we strive to help you achieve whole health. If we are going to run around trying to help you achieve whole health, then we must treat the customer?holistically. Right? We sure think so!
We don?t expect you to come in here for just another workout?just the opposite as a matter of fact. Sometimes exercise is therapy and leads to in-depth conversation, where the client experiences more benefit than they would just working out alone. Other times it?s a full on nutrition consultation instead of a workout. Being holistic as it relates particularly to being a holistic gym means a lot of different things, but it boils down to three things.
Life Fitness Academy is:
1. Nutritionally balanced. We strive for this by continuing in research with the desire to educate others.
2. Diverse in fitness. We strive for this by applying fitness fundamentals to your current physical level and meet you where you are and help you in moving forward toward your goals.
3. Inspirationally motivated. We strive for this by helping you see what?s really important in this life and making sure that IS what centers you.
We are here for your education of nutrition, giving you a workout that will be different than everyone else?s, and your spiritual-mental-physiological motivation. Simple, right?!
